Pidato Bahasa Inggris untuk Ananda Anisatul Mardhiyyah
Menit 1
Do not forget to send our
prayers and blessings to our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW, who brought us from
the darkness of ignorance to the light of Islam.
Menit 2
Indonesia is not only rich in natural resources such as oil, gold, and fertile lands, but also in something even more precious—, that is culture.
From Sabang to Merauke, from Miangas
to Rote Island, we have more than 1,300 ethnic groups and over 700
regional languages. Each ethnic group has its own traditions, food,
clothing, dances, music, and even traditional knowledge. Isn’t that amazing?
Just imagine: in one country, you
can witness the elegance of Balinese dances, the sacred rituals of Toraja, the
harmony of Javanese gamelan, the vibrant festivals in Papua, and the beautiful
weaving of the Sasak people. All different, but all uniquely Indonesian.
This is not something ordinary—it is something that many countries in the world do not have. It is a gift from God, and it is our duty to protect and celebrate it.
Menit 3
But, my dear friends, cultural
diversity is not only about beauty. It also teaches us important values.
When we live among people with
different cultures, we learn how to be tolerant, how to respect
differences, and how to live in peace. We learn to listen, to
understand, and not to judge.
Cultural diversity builds unity. It
reminds us that although we may have different backgrounds, we are one
nation, one people—Indonesia.
This unity in diversity (Bhineka Tunggal Ika) is what
makes us strong as a nation. Without tolerance and respect, diversity can become
a source of conflict. But with understanding, it becomes a source of harmony
and pride.

And even worse, some of our cultural
heritages have been claimed by other countries. For example, traditional
dances, batik patterns, and foods that are originally from Indonesia.
This is a wake-up call for all of
us. If we are not proud of our culture, how can we expect others to respect it?
We must be alert. We must take real
action to protect our heritage—not just talk, but do something meaningful.

So, what should we do?
First, we must learn about
our own culture. Get to know the traditions in your area. Talk to the elders.
Visit cultural sites. Read books about Indonesian heritage.
Second, we must preserve our
culture. Support local artists. Join traditional dance clubs. Wear traditional
clothes with pride. Speak your local language.
Third, let’s be active in promoting
our culture to the world. We can do this through social media, through videos,
writing, and art. Let the world know how rich and wonderful Indonesia truly is.

So, do not be passive, be
proud, raise our voices and celebrate our identity as Indonesians.
Together, let’s make sure that the
colors of our culture continue to shine, not only in Indonesia, but throughout
the world.
That is all I can share with you
today. Thank you for your attention. I hope my speech has inspired us to be
proud and protective of our culture.
Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi
wabarakatuh.
